Your notes stay on your phone.

Eave has no account and no sync server, and it doesn’t track you. This page explains exactly what stays on your iPhone and the little that leaves it.

The short version

Everything you write in Eave stays on your iPhone. The only thing that leaves it is your purchase, if you buy Eave Pro, which goes through Apple and RevenueCat. Eave has no ads, no tracking, and no third-party analytics.

What stays on your iPhone

Your notes, checklists, their titles and item text, the papers you choose, your end times and your pins are stored only on your iPhone, in Eave’s own storage and the shared container its widgets read.

There is no account and no sign-in. The developer can’t read your notes, because there is no server that receives them, no sync, and no account to attach them to.

Widgets and the Lock Screen pin read the same on-device storage. Export data in Settings writes a file on your device, and it goes only where you choose to send it.

What leaves your iPhone

Purchases. Eave Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store, and RevenueCat handles purchases and checks whether Pro is active. When you open the Pro screen, buy, or restore, the app talks to Apple and to RevenueCat. That exchange includes your purchase and transaction details, an anonymous app user ID and the device’s vendor identifier, along with the app version, the iOS version and general device and language information.

The developer never sees your payment details. Apple handles payment, and RevenueCat keeps the purchase record that tells Eave whether Pro is active. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy and Apple’s privacy policy. Neither receives your notes, checklists, titles, times or paper choices. The app never sends them.

TestFlight beta builds only. If you turn on Diagnostics in Settings, a beta build sends which of Eave’s own events happened (for example, that a pin started), the app version and build, your language, whether the device is a phone, whether Pro is active, and a random ID for that install. It never sends your notes, titles or times. Diagnostics is off until you turn it on. App Store builds send none of this.

What Eave doesn’t do

  • No advertising. There’s no ad or attribution SDK, and no third-party analytics SDK.
  • No tracking. Eave doesn’t track you across apps or websites, so it never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
  • No personal details. There’s no account, and Eave doesn’t collect your name, email, contacts or location.
  • No crash reporting of its own. Apple may collect anonymous diagnostics if you allow it in iOS Settings, and you control that there.
  • One permission. The only permission Eave asks for is notifications, to warn you before a pin ends and to deliver scheduled pins. If you decline, pins still end and can be pinned again as normal.

Selling and sharing

Eave doesn’t sell, rent or share your data. Your notes never leave your iPhone, so there’s nothing to pass on. Apple and RevenueCat receive only what they need to process and confirm a Pro purchase.

Network access

Writing, pinning, checklists, widgets, reminders and export all work without an internet connection. Eave connects to the internet only to show the Pro screen, buy or restore Eave Pro (Apple and RevenueCat), and, in TestFlight beta builds with Diagnostics on, to send the content-free events described above.

Anything else that uses the network is an iOS feature you start yourself, like sharing an exported file by Mail or AirDrop, or opening a link to this site. That’s handled by the service you choose, not by Eave.

Permissions

  • Notifications are the only permission Eave asks for, to warn you before a pin ends and to deliver scheduled pins. Eave works without it.
  • Face ID or your passcode may be requested by iOS when you tap a Lock Screen button while your iPhone is locked. That check is iOS’s, and Eave never sees the result beyond “confirmed”.

How long data is kept

Eave keeps your notes and checklists until you delete them or delete the app. When a pin ends, the note stays saved so you can pin it again.

If iCloud Backup is on in iOS Settings, Apple may include Eave’s data in your iPhone backup. That backup is Apple’s service, and Eave doesn’t control it.

Your choices

  • Notifications. Change them in Eave’s Settings, or in iOS Settings → Eave → Notifications.
  • Diagnostics (TestFlight only). Turn it on or off in Eave’s Settings.
  • Keep a copy. Use Export data in Settings to save your notes to a file, and Import data to bring them back.
  • Delete everything. Delete Eave from your iPhone. That erases everything it stored, and nothing is kept anywhere else. Your purchase stays with your Apple Account, so you can restore Pro if you reinstall.

Children

Eave has no account and doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, children included.

Changes to this policy

If what Eave collects ever changes, this page will change first, and the date at the top will show when.
